During this training, the audience will learn about job searching strategies, and why it’s critical to always be in a continuous process of career management. Kristen will discuss the importance of demonstrating to the employer why YOU are the best fit for the position, and how to do it in a way that is natural and authentic. We will also highlight LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook as they are the Top 3 social media sites for job search. Do you have a career presence on Google? What does your online life say about your potential as a job candidate? How can you use social media for find a job and position yourself in the job market? This dynamic speech explains how to use social networks and media to stand out and advance your career.
Participants will discover how to:
Identify the importance of a strong, productive online identity in a job search.
List measures and safeguards to take if a person has “digital dirt” and ways to protect his/her online identity.
Discover strategies for developing a highly differentiated online brand presence and ways to increase visibility to people with hiring.
Explore how to increase the purity of Google results, limiting confusion with others with the same name.
Discuss ways to maintain stellar online profiles through assessments and refinements.
List tips on how to utilize LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter in a job search including methods of setting up attention-getting and search engine friendly profiles.

Speaking Fees/Travel Arrangements
Speaking fee is a flat rate for one day and is negotiable for multiple days of training. All travel costs must be paid by the company/agency requesting this training. Kristen travels from Auburn, AL to the Atlanta-Hartsfield airport. Travel costs are based on the current federal mileage rate, airline ticket cost for the roundtrip flight, airport parking, the federal per diem daily rate for lodging and meals/incidentals (www.gsa.gov and look up city/state of where speech will take place), and transportation to and from the airport/conference site. Please note that travel must be coordinated so that Kristen arrives the day prior to the speech and leaves the day after training is provided.
Kristen will provide her own computer, but the conference site must provide a projector, speakers, screen, and clip-on microphone (if in a large room).
